Just over a week ago, we popped down to one of the biggest events of the year in the design calendar – Clerkenwell Design Week.
The whole Clerkenwell area was bustling with workshops, pop-up showrooms and exhibition spaces, as well as street installations such as the below, sponsored by Hakwood.
We loved Another Country’s pop up space and Work Series. They had great use of materials for workplace furniture which comprised of oak with small brass hardware, small fabric partitions which could be used as noticeboards, wooden desk tidies, planters and cable holes. The design was simple, but oh so effective.
OB&B has great pieces at their pop up too, comprising of fabric, brass and copper.
The famous Fabric nightclub housed the lighting pop-ups. Its high ceilings and bare brick interior made the club an effective host.
If you missed out on the action, feast your eyes on the images below and don’t forget to do next year!
